George R.R. Martin turns 64 today. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, he’s the author of the Game of Thrones series. (You know you want to watch him react to the “Red Wedding.”) His newest work, a novella, is out this December, part of the anthology Dangerous Women.
He’s been known to write dangerous women well, and should get a fair amount of attention at the Emmys this Sunday.
Martin wrote on Monday that he feels inspired to write new characters thanks to this season of Breaking Bad. “Walter White is a bigger monster than anyone in Westeros. I need to do something about that.”
